ODE TO THE HOT GUY

Yes, he deserves it! Every once in a while there's a guy among the crowd that you can't avoid watching, looking. I PRAISE JOSH HOLLOWAY. Yes, as if I was a teenager, I think I'm going to create a fans club to simply adore him. Why? just because. He is so good looking that even hurts, isn't he? but what hurts the most? his face? his body?...or his marriage??? his marriage of course! 'cause when you see that kind of guy with THAT kind of woman you wonder "what the hell...? why...?" BUt that's ok, I don't want him to live with him, I just want to see him, in other words: to enjoy the view.
P.S. ...or as Jebediah Springfield said: to "embiggest" my senses hahaha.

CHILE, LAND OF CONTRAST

This is my beloved Chile. With its virtues and faults. I'm very certain there are things that happen all over the world and not only here. But it happens that this is where I live, and chilean issues are of my concern. I've heard and read several times this sentence "Chile, land of contrast". Most of all when it's about pictures.
Alejandro, my husband, knows a very good fotographer who uses this sentences every year for a calendar he does. I know it because he gave him the calendar each Christmas. But I think it also suits in our daily living. If I see the news I can realized we live in a never ending yes and no, in and out, the famous-and very "IN"-"double standard". But in a very common situation I see it when I take a bus and there's a clear sign above a seat that says that seat it's reserved for pregnant, handicapped or old people, nevertheless there's a teenager, no more than 15 sittin on it listening music and pretending to see none of these 3 kind of people. Any other example? the next picture was taken by Alejandro in the underground. Use the handles...THE HANDLES. Have you ever seen this "Find Wally" famous game? This picture brought it to my mind.

WINTER

And it's here. The fearest season. Even my fingers are frozen...and stiff. I hate being cold, I've always hated that. And the worst thing is now my heater is not working. Well, my Scaldasonno is not working either. All odds against me. Anyway, I try to see the positive thing here, What I can take out of this season, as I did with autumn...but this time I'm not able to come up with anything! I wouldn't like to be dramatic but...damm you winter! damm you!

GOODBYE GENERAL

In a country like Chile, with our history, it's quite difficult to see people giving tribute to a person who wears a uniform, most of all if the weather is too bad. Two nights ago, the body of General Josè Alejandro Bernales, came back from Panamà. It was midnight, and cold to death. People went out to say goodbye. I never thought I'd see chilean people showing respect for a carabinero. But I have to say this one was different. Some time ago, I think maybe 2 years ago, I remember telling my husband "this one is different, he said some very important and true things today while he was being interviewed". Now I know I wasn't the only one to notice that.
